Listening to them makes you realize how catchy some of them are. I'd have to say "don't fear the reaper" 37 is one of my favorites. No steely Dan is a minus!

And... the incredible artistry and subtleties of Mark Knopfler, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton and a couple of others prove to be way too difficult to master and/or replicate.
True fans of the music should find comfort in that.  The rest of it was kinda fun, though.

I enjoyed every minute of it, but couldn't help noticing that he passed up a whole bunch of very significant old riffs to get to some fairly obscure riffs in the last 35 or so.
You can tell his age in his selections. |
