Cystoscopy.......vs
Well if any of u have to go for cystoscopy it is a lot better than getting a catheter installed. The former you get a local anaesthetic and and the latter I got nothing . I was shaking in my booties and hosp. gown sitting next to a couple of younger guys who were getting a cystoscopy done as well. Make sure u get a local anaesthetic for both procedures if u can. I ask for as much drugs as I am legally allowed and took a tylenol before they did their magic on me. Three older female nurses(aged 65-70) were in attendance with the good Dr. urologist and fortunately I did not chew on my leather belt as the local anaesth. kicked. I was lucky and they did not find anything significant in there except an enlarged prostate. However the psa tests continue. Hi blood press. check Psa under control. Check. Kind of like a high mileage Boxster and living next to an indy garage.

oddly enough I had one done today under a light general anesthesia. I need further testing to completely eliminate prostate cancer but so far so good.
