Check out this Honda SL125

I saw this the other day and it's for sale. The guy buys and sells old motorcycles and wants $1200. It's a 1973 Honda SL125 with about 980 original miles. It runs great, has a new carb ( old one comes with ) and new tires. It looks like it's been inside it's whole life. The right patina, no leaks. I think I'll call him tomorrow and talk turkey. This is the only pic I took as I didn't want to seem too hooked.

I dig it.

Thoughts?

Wish I had it.

That was my first motorcycle (not that one... but you know what I mean)

Fun bike... however... pretty much gutless... if you are a large person don't expect to be going up any steep hills with it.

And despite the knobbies the off road ability is pretty much non existent (suspension travel is a few inches).

On the positive side if you are just looking for something to putt around town or campsite it will do the job well, very cool!

I had that exact bike.

Rode that thing through Mullholland, Decker, Topanga, etc. in High School.

Two brothers I knew when I was a kid had matching SL70's (head and tail lights) and I had an XR75 (no lights). There was a time when the smaller ones were indeed SL's instead of XL's.

This is my 1974 honda, back in 1974 when I was 15. Nice bike. I was torn between the four stroke (SL125, XL125?) and this Elsinore. I'd like the stomach muscles back please.

One more thing, I had the price wrong. He won't budge from $1400.
