Slangs for "good"

We were driving and started to name off all of the generational slangs for "good" or "I like".

What are your favorites? ( cool, rad )
Do you still use them?

Also, your least favorite/most annoying. ( dope, sick )

Narly, Dude!

DonDavis 05-19-2012 10:39 AM

"Toit". I've used it but not in quite awhile.

I realize I use "excellent" sometimes.

"Slick" is used if something is better than excellent.

Not a fan of "gnarly" being used for anything other than waves.

But I use "cool" most of the time.

DonDavis 05-19-2012 10:40 AM

Ha! I was typing my reply when the 2 above mine went in. Too funny.

Being originally from the UK and go back frequently and hear "brilliant". It drives me nuts and saying brilliant is certainly not brilliant. Worse is brill. What about u Brit. types-do you like brilliant? Or is it just me?

depends on who you're talking to and what you're asking but you might get c'est tout or c'est bien ot bon around here from the older people. as you go farther down the bayou, the ratio of engish to cajun french in the conversation reverses
