Another amazing skill-set gone from this world.

I had just spoken to an old classmates mom on my walk this morning only to find that her husband had passed away from cancer this past March.

He was a pretty amazing guy. He had unbelievable hand skills and was always rebuilding and tinkering with old Norton motorcycles. I remember while I was racing mountain bikes his advice to me was "On race day, work on the brakes, not the engine...." He had a pretty successful racing career and was a very talented machinist and mechanic. When I moved back into the area that I grew up in, I would plan my walks around passing by his shop and have a quick (sometimes not so quick) chat. Godspeed Mr.L.

That's a shame... I've stopped counting the talented people I've known who are now gone.

My generation is next. I hope there's a big work shop on the other side.
