Well, it is actually an old Lancia D50.

You should put all these videos in one thread.

But why the Ferrari emblems on the car?

There's that local 1932 grand prix Alfa with the same markings -maybe you've seen it at the Historic races. IIRC Ferrari was just a race team back then.

The Lancia D-50 was one of my favorites back then. I had forgotten about the early Scuderia Ferrari history. Thanks.

The Ferrari F1 car that season was not so good so....... Enzo bought the Lancia team and cars which were the best that season. This might have been to the F2 rules I forget.

D-50 was a late 54 car but lancia's loss of Alberto Ascari + money woes
led to the team being handed to enzo
damm germans with the master and moss MB full press for F-1 in 1955 so the D-50 was 2nd best
1956 no MB and the master drives the D-50 =WC
by 57 the 250F was better and got the master from enzo too

Not F2. Lancia lost interest in motorsport after Ascari's death and the 1955 Le Mans disaster? FIAT bought the racing assets and essentially gave the D50's to Enzo when the Lancia family sold controlling interest in the firm.

Yup.

Thanks for posting that so I didn't attempt to and make an error.

Terrific clip. Looks like a Lancia D50. Fangio in the classic relaxed pose and makes it look so easy. The slow-mo is especially neat, chassis transition. What year was this filmed?

Guessing from the cars on the street at 1:40, I would say sometime in the 70s.

Best
