There's a concept for a movie script that hasn't been done. Who says there's nothing but remakes?

Fly fishing? No time?

I did some survey work in Colorado in the mountains above Georgetown, during the time off we had some great trout fishing.

i love the comments from those that dream of being there. but alas having to ski my brains out/go 4 wheeling/dirty biking/hunting/fishing in such an area is truly nirvana.

and yes both my spawn are hunting fishing fools.

From Lyle Lovett, "If I Had A Boat":

The mystery masked man was smart
He got himself a Tonto
'Cause Tonto did the dirty work for free
But Tonto he was smarter
And one day said kemo sabe
Kiss my ass I bought a boat
I'm going out to sea

How about Silver, the Lone Ranger's horse?

Now the Lone Ranger thinks nothing about running and jumping on Silver and chasing after a bandit that has at least an eight or ten mile lead, you know. And Silver must get awfully peeved at this. You know, 'cos it's embarrassing to chase after a horse that has an eight mile lead.

And you can always hear it. "Masked man!"

"Yes, what is it?"

"The bandits have an eight mile lead! Go get 'em!"

"Don't worry about a thing! Jump on the horse -- Hi Yo Silver!"

"WAIT A MINUTE!! Are you crazy?! Get off my back!"

"What's the matter with you, Sil--?"

"Don't worry about Silver! I'm sick of this mess! How much of a lead have they got this time? Eight, ten, thirty-five miles? You know how embarrassing it is to come back into that stable, all those old snotty horses say `Oh boy, didja catch him this time?' `No, no I didn't catch him this time...' It's ridiculous! But look at these shinbones, the scars on my shins from when we catch up with those nuts, and they run out of bullets, and every time they throw the gun back at you they don't hit you, do they? No! [pop pop pop] Right off old Silver's shins! Sick of this."

Are you filming in AZ at all? Because we have a new law that prohibits companies from banning vehicle carry by employees on company property, as long as the gun remains in their car. And who's taking care of security out in the bush? If one of your guys stumbles upon a momma bear and cubs or a hungry mountain lion, rest assured, there's no dialing 911 out there.

yeah the west sucks. nothing to do, nothing but steers and queers(what are you?), too many people, hazardous waste everywhere, mine shafts to fall into, wild untamed sheep, crazed bears and mtn lions, giant elk(yes the one pic was elk beans) and deer that will kill ya just to look at ya.

yep dont come out west. stay at home. much safer at home.

and the scariest part........................THERES ACTUALLY NO INTERNET SERVICE IN SOME PLACES!

sounds like govt. intrusiveness

Hugh R 06-03-2012 03:13 PM

We filmed a little in AZ, locals may well have had heat in their vehicles, don't know.

Hugh R 06-17-2012 04:00 PM

I drove around Creede, CO today. Here are a few pics. I MAY be able to post some pics tomorrow of the trains that we built. We're filming in an area that is adjacent to a highway and viewable by any passerby. So any member of the public can take pictures.

Hugh, are you in Denver for a while? I'll be there a week from tonight for three nights.

David 06-17-2012 05:56 PM

My aunt and uncle have a cabin down the road from there in South Fork. I love the place but don't get up there nearly as much as I'd like. Now that my wife and son, who have grown tired of skiing, are out of the picture I'll be spending more time there!

Hugh R 06-17-2012 06:07 PM

Rick, no I leave Friday and drive 285 miles North to Denver to take a flight to Burbank that evening. I'll then be home for a week or so and then on to Moab, UT for two weeks then Santa Fe for another few weeks.

Randy, good photo, we are shooting in the canyon about 2,500 feet up from your data point. Right where the "Y" is in the road just above your data point.
