Can't show you pics of the set, so I'll show you a pic of the Rio Grande from my lounger in front of my motel room in Creede,CO. The headwaters of the Rio Grande are about 25 miles away. |
Hugh, I can almost hear that water rushing by. That will be some good sleeping tonight. What's the temp?
Can you sit out there and fire off a few blanks from yer six shooter while enjoying an adult beverage? :D |
I heard Lubey has the lead role - that's why he had to take a leave of absence....:)
About 70 during the day about 30 at night. We start filming next Wednesday at this location. BUT, we will be filming hard nights. Down jackets, long undies and gloves in June. Elevation is 8,900 ft. You breathe hard from a 5% grade walk for a 1/4 mile. I'd love to post pics, but can't. The scenery and set dressing are amazing.
I'd get fired if I brought heat to any Disney workplace. We had to tell the locals here and in other carry states they may not bring any weapons to work in their vehicles, including parking lots which are considered company property. |
I could spend some time on that balcony. My wet dream is to live on a river.
WOW! That looks like great place. Hugh sounds like you have a gem of a job.
Getting to travel to all these great locations. I'll being looking forward to this film. Like many here I grew up watching the Lone Range. |
I'd wake up several times to go pee.....
damn. nice.
When you retire in 5-10 years, let Mickey know I'd be thrilled to take over your job. :) What classes/certifications/licensure/qualifications do I need to start working on now?
That is some pretty country around there. I will for sure go see the movie when it gets to the theaters.
Nice gig, this go round, eh? As always, thanks for sharing. I think a lot of us could use that porch around about now. (I'll let Art have my turn for now, but I still want in line!)
(I've said it before, but if any of you guys out there in Pelicanville get a chance to meet this guy, take advantage, he is fine people and he'll happily tell you lots of stories and show you amazing pictures of his life on blockbuster-movie sets) |
I wish I was there...
Since people spend so much time on their feet being a Podiatrist would help, hand surgeon, not so much.
I'm just glad they're doing movies about other superheros. I'm getting tired of the misrepresentations of my adventures.

If I am a Disney Podiatrist, does that mean I can't have any facial hair? the bastard children of OJU and some poor rainbow trout, say it ain't so, bet they would get big though, hmm |
