Making my AMA Pro racing debut!
First, I have to thank my beautiful wife for indulging my idiotic, child-like behavior when it comes to racing motorbikes. She is truly amazing.
I've secured a ride for the AMA Harley XR1200 race at Miller Motorsports Park next month, alongside the World Superbike show. After 20 plus years of on again, off again club racing, at the age of 49, I'm finally stepping up and racing with the big boys  If things work out, I'll also be doing the MotoGP/Indy round in August, and the Daytona round next spring.Link to the series: Vance & Hines: XR1200 Series I watched last year's race on Speed yesterday and nearly passed out from anxiety. Its going to be quite an adventure!

Very nice... I noticed the thread on the "other" beeb and wondered if you were going to give it go.
It seems like a semi-affordable way to play in the big show and have some big fun. Add Road America to your schedule and I'll buy you a brat or two.

I don't think a podium will be in the cards... my goal is to qualify, and not finish last
I haven't checked into how the pit passes work with AMA. Once I figure it out, everyone is invited to pit with me and help me find another 10HP in the bike! I'm guessing it will be broadcast on Speed, like last year, but don't know for sure.

miller, that is practically my backyard.

Excellent, like the steep head angle on that bike, does not even look like and HD, maybe a Buell I guess. Remember, smoother is faster
