Installing euro plates (FRONT)

Is it ok to install euro plates under your legal plates in the US, particularly Illinois? I plan to do this on the 911 i recently acquired. Since US plates are shorter, two letter/digits on the left and right would be seen. The euro plate that I have has an 86 as the last two numbers on the right same year of the 911.

I don't know if it is legal here in Florida, but I'm guessing anything that looks that stupid probably is legal here.

You open yourself up for random "courtesy stops" at the very least.

The only law that would violate is the law of good taste.

Which it violates, with extreme prejudice.

Got it... I guess when you cross the Illinois/Germany border you could just pop off the top plates.
