Mecum/Barratt/Etc Auction Question
Why do they drive the cars on to the stage, but push them off the stage? Are they afraid they wont start?

Probably isn't really feasible to push the car up the steep ramp to an elevated stage.

Plus it proves to the buyer that it runs before he bought it. After that, caveat emptor . . .

Probably to limit the exhaust fumes as much as they can. They start them again after they pass the bottom of the ramp, make the turn and are headed out.
