She's a gem. No top so not much driving this winter but soon.
I sold my 29 truck so it's the only hot rod I have. My latest project was a light restoration on my 64 Apollo GT 5000. One project at a time. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1365034021.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1365033986.jpg |

That rocks man. I would have that hot rod until I died.
Apollo? Let me guess, Italian chassis, American V8 |
Best story I've heard in awhile. Thanks for sharing.

I realize everyone has different tastes, but THIS is what I think of when I think "Hot Rod". You can keep every overwrought piece of sculpture and crush all the Rat Rod projects. This is where it's at for me. Beautiful car. Glad it's back in your life Best Les |
My mom says she raced some kids with this rod when she was pregnant with me.
She says she caught them by surprise when she left the line, tyres smoking. I guess that's where my car jones started. When she was three, mom was also one of the original Gilmore girls. Hot rods and racing is in my blood. Henry "Sonny" Bennett (pictured below) was moms cousin. We were both names after my great grandfather, known more for his drinking than cars but everyone has to be good a something. :) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1365085289.jpg |
