Don't give pets as gifts - EVER!

My little bro was given a tiny hamster thing by one of his fraternity friends. He got a big tub and a little cage.

Well, the big tub has no lid on it. And now there's little f-ng hamster running around my house.

All I want to say is, don't give pets to people who didn't ask for it! What an ass.

And my little bro is dumb as hell to accept it with a cage with no lid, no less.

My dog goes nuts trying to find it at night and sleep has been at a premium since...

And no, flea pesticide has not killed it. Sadly.

Sonofa!!!!!!!!!!!!

I swear to god, I don't care how cute you think the animal is. DO NOT GIVE THEM AS GIFTS. AND DO NOT ACCEPT THEM unless they're a cute dog or cat.

I don't know who gave my brother the damn hamster, but I hate his guts. A curse on his house!!!!

a hamster is the worst pet ever. the worst. they are nocturnal, so they run on the stupid wheel all night, and they sleep all day.

the worst animal bites i have suffered have been hamster bites. at the pet store i worked at. i fed one that no one would buy to a huge black and white tegu. for about 2 seconds, i was worried for the lizard.

A cat will catch the hamster.
The dog will catch the cat.
Now you need a lion or tiger to catch the dog.

Rodents are not pets. They're rodents.

Why didn't he put it in the cage instead of the tub?

Pets are great gifts for the kids whose parents you hate.

And banjos.

Don't know. I guess they thought the very tiny hamster thing can't jump out of a big tub?

It wasn't an issue until a wheel was put in there. Which allowed it to climb out.

My brother caught it the other night, took out the wheel and put it back in the tub while I was at work.

And yeah, the hamster can now manage to get out of the big, giant tub because it lasted only one night in there.

[Sigh] I just can't believe the amount of stupidity that my brother has done about this whole thing.

Oh and a funny thing, one of his friends apparently had two of these things that got loose and started multiplying in their house...And he still didn't take precautions!

Kids are idiots these days!

if you got a golden retriever all you would need is a tennis ball. golden will return every time....the real problem is getting rid of the tennis ball.

So, if anyone was wondering...My brother was finally able to outsmart the hamster with food inside a bucket and a ramp leading up to it.

A couple of nights ago, he heard the hamster moving around in the bucket.

It's now in the small cage with the lid on top. My dog can now sleep happily.

PS - I still hate the guy who gave this to him.
