19 Car Pile up a few miles from my house
Multi-vehicle crash near Los Angeles shuts down freeway - U.S. News
The Antelope Valley Freeway about 10 miles from my house. Fortunately I don't travel up that freeway. I work in Safety, and people say "Is it safe" this is an excellent example. Everyone is traveling at 60+ mph in their lanes and is it "Safe" until something happens, a driver spills coffee on him or her self, someone has a coughing fit, and this happens. In this case, it was a load of pipe on the freeway, the CHP ran a road block to have Cal Trans pick up the pipe and a truck came around a blind corner with too little time to brake. Safe is a relative term. ![]()

Wow, that really is a pile-up in the literal sense!
Agua Dulce and that area are familiar. I think that is the route I take to Willow Springs.

Bummer! The mangled VW in the picture still has dealer plates. They really need to monitor those gravel trucks better. Between the 14 and the 126 I've seen a lot of accidents and many close calls.
