Hi

Leak Sealant In A Can
Has anyone ever used a leak sealant (in a can) with any success?
My son has an 2002 Golf and it appears that the (auto) transmission main input shaft seal is beginning to leak. Can we buy some time using a sealant?

I have Lucas automatic transmission additive in almost ever automatic. It's thick stuff that increases line pressure and should slow most leaks. Suck out a quart and try the entire bottle. Get the one that says "stop slip."

I'll try some Lucas Stop Slip.
