Here's a funky motorbike for ya!

I've been a little bored motorcycle-wise lately;
I almost bought a Ducati Superlight a few weeks ago, but it didn't come through. My pocketbook was happy about that.

Anyway I have a buddy who works at the local used bike shop; he combs the internet and buys used bikes all day long. He came across this and through some kind of evil voodoo vortex I now have it in my possession. It's a 1996 Triumph Daytona 900 triple. Practically flawless! It's either the coolest looking or the ugliest bike I've ever seen. Pretty fast, and fun! It's a pretty large, heavy bike though.

Anyway, the price was too good to pass up. If it turns out I don't like it, I can get out.

Woo Hoo!

To be honest, I still like ol' thumpy a little bit better.

Awesome - congrats, Gogar.

Is that dual headlight original? I've been thinking of doing that on my 900SS, rather than the stock square one.

That's pretty cool. I have ridden a couple of the 900 triples in the White Mountains of NH & coast of Maine a few years ago, memorable rides. Beautiful Tiger too.

Yes, that's the stock setup. I kind of like it because it reminds me of all those '80s Yamaha FZRs and stuff.

Oh and also you can SEE at night. An added bonus.

The triple - ugly? Are you kidding?

That's a GREAT looking motorbike! It has that saucy, hop-on-me-twist-my-throttle-spank-me-until-hurts look about it that I find exceptionally desirable!

the 900 daytona has some nice engineering. remember, 1996 was fairly soon after triumph began making motorcycles, again, and they were doing a good job, IMO. for the time, the 900 has good styling and power and performance. i'd ride that bike.

if i were to buy a brand new bike, however, it would probably be the 675 daytona.
