My girlfriend does mystery shopping for a sideline. She uses shadow shopper (one of the reputable sites). The most she has ever been paid for an assignment is $60, typically it's in the $20 - $40 range. She has done many restaurants and shops. One of her friends once made $150 for an assignment, but that is very unusual. She is paid via direct-deposit to her bank acct after each assignment, after she submits her report and the report is approved by her supervisor.
$300 never happens for this. I smell a scam. _ Last edited by genrex; 07-01-2012 at 04:23 PM.. |

On the less-reliable mystery shopping sites, it is not unusual for a supervisor to say the report is unsatisfactory. That way they don't have to reimburse the shopper for expenses, and the shopper is out the money.
If the company is reputable, you will know their name, and be able to read reviews of the company on the internet. _ |

My gf and her mother both work for shadow shopper. Her mother does this full-time and averages $3000/mo by lining up the "shops" in advance, so she doesn't have to drive very far from one to the other. Some of the shops are restaurants, and since she's reimbursed for the food (up to a certain limit), that kinda counts as income also.
