"The man the dealership bought it from claimed ownership since 1970, the year the car was stolen."
Either the car thief flipped it quickly or the guy who stole it/owned it is an idiot for letting the dealership know when he took it.

Great story, if it is really true.
Now, if I could only find that '67 Camaro I still have the title for, but haven't seen for 30 years or so... |

Back when I was about 19, maybe 20, I had a sword get stolen from me. Very special, custom made, balanced just for me. Length, balance, everything was perfect.
Stolen by someone I thought was a friend. Sure wish I could find it. ![]() The guy who made it is one of my best friends. Pushing 90, He won't be around much longer. The quality and perfection of his blades has fallen somewhat over the last several years.

I owned one of those back in the early 80s. ANY water and a itty bitty turn and your ass chased the front. Terrible mileage......of course it went like stink.
Never had the Lucas problems my bug eye had..... |

Wouldn't the car be owned by his old insurance company?

Car was only three years old when it was taken. So I bet it wasn't that cheap when new back then. My first car was my 59' Austin Healey 100-6 and it was 16 years old when I got it. Still cost me $700 in 75'. One of my better investments, as I still have it!
