It seems like all I ever do is bang my head against the wall dealing with people. I don't know what has happened to this country, but we have all become lazy, dishonest, greedy, incompetent people who don't give a rat's ass about anything other than what's on TV tonight. This really doesn't affect me all that much, because I have designed a life where I am mostly insulated from this, but wow, when I do have to get things done that I can't do myself, I am just horrified by the level of competency out there. Rant over

I agree with motion and, thankfully, all I have do all day is beat on my dogs and work on the 911. If I had to deal with 99% of Americans on a daily basis I would act on my desire to move elsewhere.

Coming from someone who wanted nothing other than to serve this country 20 years ago: We're a bunch of stuck-up, snot-nosed, need-of-bit€h-slapping, backwards-hat-wearing, hip-hop listening, hand-out-expecting morons. I hope ObamaCare finds us all unworthy of continued living.

For the most part - I want nothing to do with the human race. Most humans are unbelievably stupid, self-centered, incompetent, oblivious to reality & common sense, sloppy, petty, and dense.

Maybe that's why I love my pets so much...they seem to be above it all!

The way things are going - I truly believe that one day in the not too distant future humans will wipe themselves off the face of the planet...

I too - pretty much "insulate" myself from the masses....it's the only way I can cope!

Good customers are hard to find. That's my point. They are the same airheads that motion speaks of. Most of them can't make up their minds unless the goal is, "What's the cheapest?"

I don't do cheap.

My target customer has turned out to be over 60 and bucks up. I qualify them on the phone and if it's a price chase, I just tell them I only work by the hour.

Most people around the age of 35, give or take 10 years, have the attention span of a 3 year old regarding all things house. As motion said, they just want to get into their TV and kids life as soon as they get home.

While talking about improving the home, the benefits v. costs, etc., I've been rudely interrupted by kids, cell phones and the dog. At that point I lay a business card down and thank them for their time. If they didn't get anything from me, it certainly wasn't because I was not willing.
