2012 Northeast Grand Prix

Was a fun day, but brutally hot & humid around noon. Once the cars were on the grid the ALMS let fans walk it. They announced it was the first race series to allow fans on right before the race. Was a really cool deal. Spoke with Seth Neiman for a while. Seems like a really likable guy. And of course the Lizards came through with a victory. Also the Muscle Milk team came back from a 4 lap deficit to when LMP1.

Looks like you had a good time. Lime Rock is one of the nicest tracks anywhere. Pretty track. Good for spectating. Nice people. And some beautiful surrounding countryside.

Yeah Noah was a very good time. First time I've been back since I crashed coming out of Big Bend.
They actually mentioned the fact that there is no grand stands which does make the track unique.

Still some folks in the area trying to get the place closed. Buy a house near a race track then say it's too noisy, just amazing. The Db level for DE's & such is actually lower than the state of NY's maximum. Folks... it's a race track!!

Going the way of Laguna Seca. Such a shame. Maybe with the advent of electric race cars the tracks can survive?

My wife and I drove the 911 up, they do a great job there, my third ALMS visit. I think this was the hottest one temperature wise. I got my wife to go by telling her she could get a Patrick Dempsey autograph (he drove and his car placed third). She got his autograph on a Dempsey Racing T-shirt and apparently now has major bragging rights

Thanks for sharing. Brings back great memories - used to work the medical side of track safety during the ALMS races. Love the track/venue and overall accessibility of the track.
