I've got a raging infection...

..called Babylon on my laptop. I've deleted everything I can, scanned, run malware, anti-virus programs, etc. but no joy. When I open a new tab, I get a page that looks similar to Google.

Any idea on how to remove it?

Keep Microsoft Security Essentials running on your PC to prevent these. It's easier to prevent them than to clean them and MSE is free, just download it from the MS website...

I've used the program which resets your PC to an earlier date to get rid of problems in the past.

Not sure if that would help in your case...good luck...our systems seem to be under constant attack these days!

I started using Avast virus protection a year ago and it has worked very well, FWIW.

Back up all of your data... Deep format the hard drive drive and re build it from scratch.

Painful I know but worth doing IMHO.

Find a good computer person..Found this guy in phone book, will come out the same day I called and fix whatever problem I have..$100..Just gets rid of the virus and you keep all your info...Back and running in one day..I use AVG free also..
One thing he taught me, if something starts loading, hit ALT and F4 to stop it..I've only had one problem since...Hope this helps...
