Last time it was 5 days.....but I was younger then. The doc tole me 7 days this time.

Went through this seven years ago. Now I can barely remember how f$:&ing miserable I was for six weeks. Support from family and friends is vital. A good stack of books and music helps. Good luck, it will be over quicker than you think, then it is only a distant memory.

F*** morphine.

If it's not in the plan already, ask for an APPROPRIATELY PLACED (like, T8-9 depending on incision) epidural catheter. You should be able to walk, pee and be essentially pain free for as long as it's left in.

Good luck to you as 1 resection is more than anyone should be made to endure.
