Thank you Angela, I truly appreciate your very kind words. But I have to take issue, it's not so much about me, it's about YOU! What I love about life are all the random opportunities we are given. When we are given great opportunities, we must rise to the challenge. Getting you for last year's Secret Santa was inspirational. You, my dear, did all the work, being the wonderful you who you are. I just did my best to take advantage of that.

I am so glad you like the shirt!SmileWavy

So many more personal thank you's to go. We'll talk soon. Off to the doctor.

Shaun

awesome to see you post Shaun - Hope your recovery goes quickly.

Shaun @ Tru6 08-21-2012 04:49 AM

Thank you Jeremy! I just wish I had time to recover! :) Been working to get Fall out the door and spring 13 samples redone (many ruined in the accident). Can't wait until the end of this week, most everything should be done and I can rest a little. The good news is being active I think has helped a little. Hard for me to sit in bed. More to come.

How are you doing, Shaun? I guess since I never met you and all these Pelicans say you are a nice guy and all, I better start getting to know you. :) Hope you are doing well...

hi Tweeze, thank you, and thank you for checking in.SmileWavy How am I doing? Simply put, when you are surrounded by so many wonderful people, you have to be doing great, which I am. Every day I wake up and thank God for all my friends and family, which are one in the same. I'm about 1 week away from being caught up in life and in the company. I start physical therapy in October. 2 of the cracks in my pelvis are doing well and the third major one is on its way. The accident has left a few permanent reminders to slow down (in life) a little, and I try to listen to them. The recovery does continue to be very frustrating, I can tell you that. I can't wait to be able to walk up stairs again, and everything after that.

If I can ever get down to see my friend Grace in Apache Junction (I think you two would really like each other, she's a woman of serious consequence and one of the most driven and cool people I know) some day, I'll let you know. But be forewarned, the reports of my niceness have been greatly exaggerated. :)

More to come, I'm about 1 week shy.

Sounds like you are doing well. That's great news!

Does Grace own a Bichon Frise, by chance?

Shaun @ Tru6 09-19-2012 06:19 AM

hi Don, I don't think she does but I'll find out.

Hey Shaun, good luck with the therapy bro. It may test you from time to time(AMHIK) but I believe you are up to it. Sounds carzy but pain is your friend. It lets you know that stuff is working but also tells you when to pay attention. Every painful step brings you two steps closer to recovery. I say two steps because you're overcoming both the physical and the emotional hurdles with each step forward.

I'll leave you with a story from my rehab in Kessler. One day my aide came in to take me to PT. I told her I wasn't feeling up to it.

She said " Tom, let me tell you something. That bed feels good I know it does. But that bed is a damn thief. It will steal your life if you let it."

I went to PT that day. And every day after that.

Shaun @ Tru6 09-19-2012 08:29 AM

Man, that is great advice, great story, thank you, and something I live. Thankfully I'm a bit of sucker for pain, installed an exhaust system on my friend's Saab yesterday. Lying down on a creeper under a car is more comfortable than sitting at a desk...leg goes numb in a half hour, not so fun, but working on a Saab, now that's pain! LOL! :)

Yay, Shaun! Sounds like you are on the right track but take it easy. Better to take it easy rather than push yourself and end up two steps backwards, you know?

And if you ever get out here, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to meet you. I hear you design kid's clothing. I have two boys. What is your line called? I need to google. :)

Keep us updated on your recovery! Big ginormous hugs!!!

Hey T, now I've got a few reasons to come to AZ. A little too late on the advice to take it easy, and I'm not good at that anyway. :) As I may have said earlier, the crash happened going to our first Spring 13 buyers show in NY and we were just starting to ship Fall, so the worst possible time. We made it through the season thanks entirely to my amazingly awesome office manager Susan and all my local friends who came and made it happen. I had to remake many of the spring samples that were ruined in the accident, and make the Urban Dino t-shirts, all done by hand with templates and an HPLV gun. That was grueling. So the last 2 months have been day by day of working/sleeping/working/sleeping and generally being grumpy until my next ibuprofen fix. :) To be honest, I think needing to work was in my favor, certainly mentally if not physically.

Here's our Fall and Spring linesheets (wholesale catalogs). Let me know if you see anything you like in fall and I'll put together a package for your boys. (You have to zoom in a lot to see the designs)

hey Art, good to see you again! I'm doing OK, healing up little by little and getting antsy to get my body and my life back the way they should be. 4 more weeks and I better be at 98%.

David McLaughlin 09-19-2012 06:01 PM

Shaun, if you need any help especially spraying (don't know squat about silkscreen), please ask. I'm free most weekends.
