I don't do it for business, but I use them all the time. The people we use are a small office, which ties into a larger corporate company. Basically it is a franchise. I could setup ourselves with the corporate group if I wanted, but our business is material, not shipping.
If you don't want to discuss who you might be working with, PM me.

I know a gal who does that for a living. She works at a small freight-forwarding company in Seattle, just her and the boss. Both of them work 8 - 5, Monday - Friday, and they work through their lunch hour; they order lunch delivered, or one of them goes out for take-out food. She says it's not hard work, but the work flow is steady all day long, and you have to have strong attention to detail. She is a high-school graduate, and all of her training has literally been on-the-job, under the guidance of her boss. Her gross income is $45k per year, and amazingly she gets paid health insurance. During the 15 years she's been working there, her boss has tried (and fired) at least 10 other potential employees who were slackers and had poor attention to detail.
So in a nutshell, it's not hard work, and it pays well, but you have to have the right kind of personality that fits this kind of work. That's all I know about it. Cheers! ![]() _ |

I have a client with 75 employees that do this in Portland. Fast paced. Cut throat. It is a great company. They are pros.

Thanks for the feed back. The local State College has it listed in their continuing education, Certificate Programs. They claim its the largest growing sector of the 400+ billion transportation industry. And a business you can run from home. I had never heard of it before and was curious.
