rabid [ˈræbɪd ˈreɪ-]
adj 1. (Medicine / Pathology) relating to or having rabies 2. zealous; fanatical; violent; raging [from Latin rabidus frenzied, mad, from rabere to be mad] Name a city, I was going to list NHL cities, but that would be misleading. Better to say 'every city in Canada, at some level'. |
Thank you for the reply. You'd make a great straight man in a comedy team.
No rabid rabbit fans in Boston, that's for sure  |
Get ready for it Joe
That disingenuous shorta$$ed piece of blowfish snot has succeeded in bringing on another lockout - the third of his tenure - if I am not mistaken. Cheers JB |
pretty sure this is only the second
|
Third lockout since 1994. There was a missed season (2004-2005) and a shortened season (1994-1995, 48 games).

I am thinking that this strike is going to kill the bottom 6 Hockey teams in the US. I know they are losing money and some may say it doesn't matter. But markets can change with success and time, this will kill any chance of that happening. Hockey is a fringe sport at best, with Football, Baseball, and Basket Ball well ahead. Look what happened to Baseball in Canada after the 1994 strike, virtually killed the market and the Expos could not survive. We maybe looking at a 26 team league in the next 5 years or so. If these two sides know better they will get a deal done before everyone checks out for another sport an never comes back. Get it done Bettman you sawed off runt

The rich teams don't care about the weak teams....revenue sharing doesn't suit them. But Gary is the master of keeping weak teams alive. That's why he still has his job. I wouldn't underestimate GB. |

Tell ya what Joe, How 'bout we lock Bettman outta North America!
Cheers JB |
I was off yesterday, holiday.
I really don't believe it's anything other than money for both sides. At least Donald Fehr has kept the players united. So far. In the last two strikes the players broke ranks. |
