AT&T DNS Outage
Giving anybody else a headache today?
AT&T suffers DNS outage - Computerworld I've noticed that their own DNS records seem to be unaffected.

Yeah, we had issues with our upstream starting yesterday late afternoon and thru today.
Strangely, when going against an out-of-the-box bind9 on debian caching-only server I never had an issue...

You may want to switch to Open DNS. We utilize this service and they seem to not be nearly as affected when there are outages like this.
OpenDNS - Cloud Internet Security and DNS
