Is this the one that is an extremely limited edition that is stupidly expensive?

No, but they're the same color and clearly related

Is the SQ5 TDi coming to the US? I know the hot little 2 liter S3 with 300 hp is not. Audi has become a prick tease of late- completely scrapped that cool monster sort-of retro ur-quattro. Too bad.

Thanks for posting that Eric. Always exciting to see diesel power in action. I have no use for a compact SUV though. I need a full size SUV and it also can't cost north of $60k. A car is more useful for commuting.

That said, maybe this will get the Americans to step up and make a diesel Suburban!? I'd buy that (used) in a heartbeat. Not sure if we talked about it before, but I don't get it, why they don't offer it.

Fwiw, all the current US big diesels get pretty horrid mileage, and are only good for towing....

I really wish the EPA would get their $h!t together and fix the rules that prevent bringing good diesel technology to the US. (Ooops - I hope that didn't go PARF). There have been many great European diesel engines for cars available for a long time - it's a shame we can't get them over here.

Hold on there, sparky. My sister's $1900 AC repair tab on her A3 may temper your enthusiasm a bit.

I rented an A5 TDI in Germany a couple of years ago and it was pretty amazing.

Jalopnik has reported that they are also building 50 "Exclusive" SQ5s for the low, low price of €92,000 (here)

More pelican wood and I second my earlier remarks. The monster coupe quattro has a green light again!

2015 Audi Quattro Coupe - Top Speed

In terms of power, the Quattro will feature a supercharged 2.5L five-cylinder engine mated to a dual clutch S-tronic transmission. This engine will produce 380 HP and send the Quattro from 0-62 mph in a little over four seconds.

AutoBild is predicting that the Audi Quattro will debut in March 2013 to coincide with the original Quattro’s 35th anniversary, hence the internal Q35 designation. It will be priced somewhere between the Audi TT and the Audi R8, which will fill in the gap nicely with the $38,650 and $114,200 price tags of the aforementioned models.

I doubt this version will happen but here's a concept celebrating the gruppe b of past glory:

Screw the diesel sport SUV (really?), THAT I like. I love the UrQuattros.
