If someone would start a thread for the stocks that are going to go up I'd really appreciate it! I was going to put that statement in green to stress the sarcasm, but then I realized I'm being honest!

even a Colonel stock talk thread would be good

esp. if it led to Major cheese

Easy peazy, but we need more info:
How much "up" are you looking for, and how long, and how much risk are you willing to accept?

personally, I've become very risk-adverse in recent months. Scaredy-kat.

most is in conservative funds like VASIX and VSCGX fer example, but I still have a small percentage out there in index funds like SPY and VUG fer the S&P and QQQ and ARKK fer the nazdack (see tesla thread).
I have some energy stock, but that's not by choice.
Soon as it matures, see ya.
Got a hundy sitting in cash too, fer when the big one hits.

we could post what stocks analysts expect to go up

even filtered by analysts whose past predictions are better than others

sammyg2 08-25-2020 02:33 PM

What I think would be kinda fun is, we say "hey what about this stock?"
And then we all dog-pile and pick it apart. Things like fundamentals, historical, analyst projections, the whole deal.

When that fizzles we go on to the next stock. Entertaining and edumacational at the same time.

Hey what about this stock - AAPL

sammyg2 08-25-2020 08:01 PM

Never heard of it.

Doesn't look good, according to techweenie:

AAPL still riding massive huge gains and profits.
Today is just a hiccup.

RWebb 09-08-2020 12:33 PM

Apple is moving hard into services - this makes some analysts think that the days of Iphone fueled growth will be eclipsed in the near future

sugarwood 10-31-2020 05:53 AM

Apple pared more than 5% and is now more than 20% below its all-time high
But that's still pretty damn high!

sammyg2 10-31-2020 12:52 PM

Weeks like this make me remind myself that I'm 'sposed to be an investor, not a trader.
Glad I switched to low risk in late Jooo-ly.
Down 'bout 1.3% since high of sept 2nd.
Could have been worse.

Apple's been on the move lately. Stagnated around $150 for a while but seems to have broken out.
