Straight white guys mounth
I was talking to a friend today and he told me a strange story. The place where he works is very large, At a meeting there was a new of the month thing going to happen. Its going to be:
Black Engineers month Gay Engineers month Hispanic Engineers month Gay womans Engineers month Womans Engineers month And so on. With clapping and whistling. He stood up and said what about straight white guy engineers month and the whole place went quiet. He said the hole mood of the meeting went south after that.

We need a month of our own. Straight white engineers, I like it...
We could celebrate with beer, scotch, cigars, brats, burgers, steaks, rock and roll music. Star Trek marathons, new calculator day. The question is whether I could invite our only non white engineer at work who loves all these things too... Now that I think about it, how about just engineers month. I like June.

I'm in, but we need a symbol of our unity. But, it would be all inclusive in difference to the other xyz months.
Where is our convention?

Why the hell do people think we need a day/week/month to recognize them? Just be the best you, you can be and don't look for a pat on the back. The only person you have to measure up to and receive recognition from if that person who watches you brush your hair and teeth.
If we spend as much time simply being a decent person as we do trying to make people feel special the world would be a better place. I for one am sick to death of this P.C. crap.
