one time i stayed with some family in Malaysia. he lived on a island and we boated there. passing cool shrimp farms.
one day, wife and i decided to go for a swim. a huge gray 8' snake swam by us..i back paddled away gently, and we stared at the snake.. a big tegu lizard swims by..bunch of mysterious rodents.
i mention the gray snake, and the guy pulls out a book. i ID the snake. a mofo-ing COBRA!! i swam with a COBRA!! he had to drag me to the spot to look for the snake. he had young kids and kills cobras on sight. snake was long gone. not so sure a cobra can strike in water, but i dont like thinking about it. i am grateful my wife and i were not killed.
