Are you "visual" when you speak?
I have this habit during conversation to speak in a visual way.
Was just speaking with a colleague in CA. Told her I was going to take her sales guy out for lunch and a drink. He's had a **** week and sounded real beat up today. She said to send her the bill. I said good, cause if I pay we'll be sharing a bottle of Ripple from a brown paper bag while sitting on the curb watching the world go by. Anyone else like to put pictures in peoples heads?

I have to put pictures in people's heads. My work as a heritage interpreter has me talking to dozens of people daily, describing past events, building techniques, electrical generation, the movement of the world's highest tides and the effects of currents at the bottom of a channel where the visibility is less than the length of your arm and the currents are equivalent to a 120mph wind.
I know I've got it right when a group from a bus tour applauds or someone comes up to me after and thanks me for helping them understand. I love my job. Best Les

It's a sales thing... Paint a picture that humors them and they will buy.
