Cost To Fix Roof Rack Damage?

Hey, quick question for the body work guys.

Carrying a Yakima rack on the Prius for 80K miles has damaged the roof. Paint is scraped off several inches of the edge of the roof, just above the door opening. At one spot, the roof has been slightly dented (oil canned) about an inch from the door opening.

How much might be reasonable to fix this? $500? $1,000? $2,000?

You can get that done for the 500 you mention if you find the low cost body shop where they mostly speak Spanish. Down here that would be on Figueroa.

Cool. I'm going to have a set of tracks permanently bolted to the roof, and want to get the damage fixed first. We also have a whole new plastic nose to put on (wifey has been rather enthusiastic blasting into the steepish driveway) and will be looking for a plastic tail section (some parking lot hit and run). Time to refresh the car for the next 100K miles.
