Googleads.g.doubleclick

How do i get rid of this? It's only apparent when I am visiting PP. I don't experience it on any other sites.
I've tried running my antivirus and malware software to no avail.

Have you guys ever had this problem?

It's advertising.

Exactly what is happening that is causing you issues?

When I click on the back arrow it won't send me back a page, it's just an empty click. Then if I click again (hense the name Doubleclick) I get to move back a page.

It's not causing any noticable harm, its just annoying.

I'm not sure if I understand you're problem, but this is what I do. Go to C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc and open the hosts file, if promtpted, open it in Notepad.

Add a line like this at the bottom:

127.0.0.2 googleads.g.doubleclick.net

After that, you should see a little red x where you used to see an ad. You're basically telling your computer a bogus address for that item, so it won't be able to find it, which means you don't have to look at it.

I have a couple dozen that I've added to my hosts file. If you see an ad you don't like, right-click and go to properties and look for the website address of the item. This works great for traditional ad images, flash ads aren't so easy.

Here are some suggestions:

127.0.0.2 ad.doubleclick.net
127.0.0.2 plusone.google.com
127.0.0.2 ad.hotmail.com
127.0.0.2 a.rad.msn.com

127.0.0.2 ads1.msn.com
127.0.0.2 g.msn.com

Rereading your follow up post... is this an IE toolbar that's been installed? If so you should be able to disable it from IE or uninstall it from the Control Panel.

You know, it's funny... I make my living in IT yet I still use Internet Explorer. I think I'm the only one.

Maybe something is wrong with internet explorer. I had some wierd things happening this past weekend on internet explorer ( script warning messages?). I tried everything I knew but nothing worked. I gave up and started using Firefox and I had no problems.
Fast forward to Monday and internet explorer is working without issue.

I use FF w/noscript and see "googlesyndication" scripts on almost every website.
What's up with that?
Do website owners need to run it to be recognized on Google?
Is Google running this through all traffic on Oracle servers or something to that effect?

AdWords/Analytics/SEM/SEO uses for linkbacks, linktracking, interactivity on pages and seeing how long you are somewhere and what you're doing on the page. Also can be tied into APIs that Google provides for customized maps, locations, etc.
