What common things do you not do?
 

I don't wear a watch or rings. In fact, I wear nothing on my wrists, ears or neck. Ever.

I never wear a hat.

I have a friend who does not shake hands.

Tattoos.

Short sleeve dress shirts. Apologies to my engineer friends.

I wear a hat only when outside on a hot day. I have no tats or piercings of any sort. I have enough holes in my body. I guess the biggest thing I never do is go to a bar for a drink ever. The Cheers thing is alien to me.

I made a decision 5 years ago, to not be a slave to my shop , or cell phone. I have a daily limit of how much time I will spend on the phone, and that is it. Period. Once I get home, at the end of the day, I leave my cell phone in my car.
No watch, no jewelery, no tats, no piercings. I wear shorts daily until it is just to cold around here.

Men.

I don't have a smartphone, don't do facebook, don't have a home computer, and don't get coffee from starbucks.

Fun topic.

I also don't ever wear any jewelry of any kind, including a watch. Don't see the point.

I never wear a hat for fashion (only on the golf course to prevent getting fried).

I never wear sunglasses.

I've never, ever paid to have my car washed. We're talking a 30+ year streak.

I've never paid a penny of interest on a credit card.

I've never had a car loan or lease payment.

I don't have a "smart phone."

I've never owned an American car.

I've never owned a truck or SUV of any kind.

I don't eat fast food.

I don't watch NASCAR (or any form of auto racing anymore).

I don't ever pay more than $2 for a cup of coffee.

No tats, piercings, etc. (although not sure how common those things really are for the 40 and over crowd).

same... worn a watch when I was flying and tags in the military , but now wear no jewelery at all.

Get married.

Stay up till 11 and then go to work at 8 or 9.

Watch sitcoms.

Watch network news.

Drink alcohol.

Pants, shorts only. Pants are worn only a coupe of times a year when necessary.

drink beer once a month if I am lucks. Don't get me wrong, I love beer, just don't have the urge to have it often.

I will not eat or drink anything that has been in direct contact with styrofoam. I also hate to touch styrofoam (like beer coolers, or packing peanuts) but I will do it.

Food in contact with styrofoam - out of the question, pour it out or throw it in the trash.

Never, ever, ever, watch "reality" TV shows... including anything where they vote someone off the show, or any of the talent shows for that matter.

I don't dress to impress or drive a car for status. I generally don't give a rodents behind what other people think of me, where I live, or how I live.

Also not a slave to my cell phone... much happier when it is turned off.

I like a well made watch and the fact that they are old school, and I have to wear my wedding ring, but other than that no jewelry.

No tats of piercings, however have kicked the idea around about having my deceased brother's name, birth, and death dates put on my bicep.

Don't have internet at home :eek: but that will change once wife moves in.

I haven't had a car payment in 13 years.

I can't stand having anything in my pockets. I immediately remove keys, wallet, phone, watch, etc upon reaching home or office.

I detest formal wear.

I've never had an affair.

I don't like formal organized clubs.

I don't use ice in scotch.

I don't ask permission to do things, but I will ask for forgiveness.

I never drive the speed limit. I'm always 5 over everywhere, except school.

I don't work past five on Fridays. I have a scotch in hand at 5:05 p.m.

I don't care what people think of my shoes.

Facebook/social media, I just dont get it.

No watch, don't do a lot of TV, don't care about sports at all.

Doesn't that make it hard to shift gears on the drive home? :D

Funny, I can never remember.

I drive a few blocks to my friends law office and we have a few drinks and chat about the week. I drive home legal, but I have had a few whiskys.

Way back the company I worked for had a catch phrase. Do it right the first time. Me I do it right the 3rd time usually.

Don't wear a suit unless it is a funeral which I could count on both hands.

Things that most people do that I don't:
I don't...
- use abbreviations when I text (like LOL, C U L8TR...etc)
- drink alchohol
- smoke
- have any tattoos
- listen to popular music
- borrow money when I don't have to
- blame the government or others for any of my predicaments
- lease cars
- pay my bills online
- have an entitlement attitude

Things that most people don't do that I do:
I do...
- input by hand my payments and checks by hand in my check register
- pay off my credit cards in full every month
- drive a stick-shift car
- save up for major projects (kitchen & bath re-do's, for example)
- live within my means
- prefer to wath movies in a drive-in theature
- occasionally walk to the grocery store
- drive a well-sorted 944! SmileWavy

Yeah, I do facebook but a lot of it is just a continuation of the Stijn thread (:))and messaging a few of my real-life friends. I don't understand people who have 500 "friends".

Never been on Facebook.
Both my cars are manual shift. No cup holders.
Only have antenna TV and use the boob tube for local news, concerts and sports.
Brush my teeth without toothpaste. Still got 'em all 'cept two molers in the back.

Here's what a lot of you don't do that is common: read the thread before commenting. Like wearing shorts. That's pretty common and if you DID NOT ever wear shorts, that would be something common that you don't do.

Several mentioned not cheating on the SO. Like that's a common thing? We always hear about it when it goes wrong, but I have an idea that most of you don't cheat. That would be the more common. Now if we get into cheating on the ex-SO, I think we'll find a lot of that happened.That's why there are ex's.

I never wear a watch either. Outdated technology, that's what a cell phone is for!

I do, however, still ride a sportbike in my 40's. :D
