Shiny new spoon in the drawer.

I tripped over this little gem yesterday and had to have it.
MODEL 1908 POCKET (MODEL M .380 ACP)
- .380 ACP cal., first issue, 3 3/4 in. barrel only, similar to Model M .32 ACP, except chambered for .380 ACP. Mfg. 1908-1940.
Type III - 380 ACPs have the added magazine safety

Henry, Why is it called a spoon?

onewhippedpuppy 09-12-2012 08:08 AM

You'll have to break it in by smacking a ho.:D

The paranoia of BATF search engines? Just a guess......

BlueSkyJaunte 09-12-2012 08:51 AM

Excellent, I love my .32 Pocket Hammerless, but it's in nowhere NEAR the condition of that beauty. They're great fun to shoot.

I have a couple of 1903 .32 but this is my first 380. I'm an early Colt auto guy so I think this was a must have.

I'm thinking that collection looks a little "over the top".;)

One quick note: wouldn't a good gunsmith have all the grip screws indexed properly? SmileWavy

I believe they have been indexed, but either way, your hand doesn't notice. Especially the big one.

fred cook 09-12-2012 02:10 PM

Very nice!...........

I like Colts also. Here are my 1903 and 1908. The 1903 is the one with the nickel finish and pearl grips (pimp gun)! The 4 original mags are almost worth either of the
guns! Those buggers are rare as hens teeth and lots more expensive!

Henry must have forgotten I have yet to give him an estimate on his schuetzen rifle

nynor 09-12-2012 06:59 PM

that's gonna hurt.

Mericet 09-13-2012 03:23 AM

I think for the most part, gunsmith are just glad their own guns are put together!

targa911S 09-13-2012 05:08 AM

sc_rufctr 09-13-2012 07:26 AM

That's a Colt .380 Government (Pocketlite?). Slightly larger than the Mustang.

I believe (I could be mistaken) but like any good drug dealer, I have David and MJ hooked on my product (avocados) which gives me a great deal of leeway when it comes to josh and bluster.

Winter crop is due for harvest soon. I'm thinking, Thanks Giving guacamole.

It would be a good size for you to keep in the glovebox of the 911 Peter.

What makes the first spoon pictured are the Factory Pearl Grips. Those lil Grips make the gun quite valuable.
