NFL ref strike...worst call ever

Did anyone catch the last play of the Seattle Green Bay game?

What a joke that touchdown call was. The replacements ref have to go!

The NFL has stooped to a new low... Sad

mossguy 09-24-2012 07:56 PM

I saw it. Seattle didn't win.

KaptKaos 09-24-2012 07:57 PM

Horrible

Scooter 09-24-2012 08:05 PM

Wow, that was truly a crazy play/outcome.

LakeCleElum 09-24-2012 08:06 PM

Saw it....Am a SeaHawk Fan, BUT - Bad call........Working to make up for the bad SuperBowl Calls in the past?

ZAMIRZ 09-24-2012 08:06 PM

Does the official in the back (the black guy wearing #84 in this case) have to concede to the guy down the sideline? Because the back official looks like he came over, was almost too afraid to make a call or was thinking about what the hell to do and then looked up and saw the sideline dude start to raise his hands signaling a touchdown and decided to roll with it.

After Super Bowl XL and the bad calls that killed us in that game I'll take this one.

bivenator 09-24-2012 08:08 PM

The NFL product is suffering. What a load.

I believe the replay official made the final call and not the on-field officials. If this is true, my question is, is the replay official a replacement official?

Wow Terrible how can they keep these refs on the field. Every game I watched this weekend the refs ruined.

nynor 09-24-2012 08:51 PM

agreed. the players are practically brawling every single game. its a joke.

ckissick 09-24-2012 08:58 PM

Didn't see it, but I read about it. However, the artical didn't say why it was controversial. Do they have replacement sports writers too?

So, was it a totally obvious offensive pass interference, or what?

The Texans/Broncos seemed fine, except for Denver trying to rip Shaub's ear off. They should have ejected 2 players from Denver since Shaub's helmet was knocked off 2 plays in a row.

Heard today that ball possession is made on the field not in replay.

Worst call in history. What the refs want would cost the NFL $4 million. Or about $100k per team.

The guys that do the morning show on the radio here said the reply officials are the regular officials. One of the morning guys (not sure if the one that made the comment) does the play-by-play for the Steelers at Heinz. My guess he would know or wouldn't say anything, but have not found anything to confirm it yet.

These replacement refs have to go. There mave been so many bad calls this season it is hideous. Players are taking it out on each other, and then there was Belichick's grab.

The Jets / Dolphins game was very poorly officiated - too many bad calls and too much confusion on the ref's -- the rythmn of the game was really hurt due to this.

It was the wrong call BUT I had to watch the replay twice to figure it out. I wouldn't make a good replacement ref 8-)

The replay official can only determine if the ball hit the ground or if it was a fumble, not who had possession.

There have been some bad calls this year but there are bad calls every year. Most of the calls are blown up by the media given the dispute between the officials and the NFL. The missed calls become newsworthy and everyone is allowed to pile on the replacement refs unlike the normal refs.
