Stuck at work...

Stuck at work -- anyone know how to resolve exceeded NPIV Port login issues on IBM SAN2027/140 directors? Or perhaps alleviate buffer credit issues on the same switch when connecting to an IBM DS8300 / SVC? At least that's what IBM level 3 support and I believe is going on... (I really gotta switch to decaf coffee...)

Thoughts? Cool collar? More cowbell? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Slap it on the side of the box. And cuss. Always worked for my old man and the TV...

Close all windows, turn it off, and turn it back on again. Works great for my VW.

At this point, it seems there was a port connected to the DS8300 that was intermittently failing, possibly causing excessive port logins to the SAN fabric, and subsequently saturating the bandwidth. Swapped to a different port, and things seem a bit better, but we aren't out of the woods yet. It has been a long week..

that's what I was going to suggest. Now if you can't get it out of the woods, start cutting down the trees, at least you will have some fire wood.
