Any of you guys used an online service to incorporate?

Thinking of starting up another corporation for our rental house biz. Have always used attorney in past. What we are doing seems pretty cookie cutter, and simple, just forming an LLC. Looks as if I can do it online for $150.00, and a little bit of my time. Anything I should be watching out for?

Mynewcompany.com Can't recommend them highly enough. Just don't forget to file your annual list of officers. Fines are steep.

As always, make sure you know and follow the rules in the state you form your LLC. Keep absolutely impeccable records and data to follow those rules to the letter. Document, document, document.

Look at your Secretary of States website. A lot of them, for example, Missouri have the forms right on line that you need to form an L.L.C.

Never tried Motions. The others, not impressed. Things like expedited services are up to different interpretation than a reasonable person might infer. I almost always use my lawyer and the couple of times I did not I'm only reminded why I use my lawyer. YMMV

I have three LLC's....starting another one soon. Did them all myself. Go on-line to your secretary-of-state (for your state) and most sites have the forms and process well defined. In SC it's $110.....and very straight forward.

I used incorporation.com about 7 years ago for our business. I need to create 2 more corps here shortly.

Fred, I did mine online with the State of Florida's website [sunbiz.org] - pretty straight forward. It's all about the $ anyway. Like a tollbooth.... Motion's right about remembering to file your annual report. It's usually around $100.00 but if you are late - the fine is $400.00. It used to be pro-rated on how many days you filed late but now it's a flat fee even if 1 hour late. If you are late - it's more cost effective to let your LLC dissolve and then re-instate it. That only runs around $225.00. YMMV....
