Saddleback Leather
I recently purchased a bag from these folks and all I can say is wow... The best quality leather goods I have ever owned. Just over built with top quality material.
Saddleback Leather Co. Anyone else own one of their products? Matt |
quality stuff...
worth a click also... his tribute to Blue his Lab.... Rika |
Yep, very moving story.... Amazing how close we can get to our pets.
|
A few guys have their bags here - very good stuff but heavy! Looks like it would last several generations...100yr warrenty!
I was thinking of getting an overnight bag in place of the disposable ones I buy at Walmart. Still may - the $500 price tag is a bit salty but is most likely worth it. |
Actually looks like what I was thinking of getting is a bit more - $680 to $975...The waterbag, made from just one piece...

Great products and well priced. You could easily pay a lot more or a lesser product.

It is a bag that is water proof. It's made from a single piece of leather so there are no seams for water to get through. I covet something like that. I would keep my shotgun shells and other things that I wanted to keep dry in it when I went to the range and I would drag it around with me if i ever went pheasant hunting. I wouldn't actually carry water in it, but it's cool knowing you have something so well made that you could literally fill it with water and carry it without it leaking.
The list of things I actually need more than this is probably infinite, but on the list of things I would like to have if money were no object, this lists high. |
OK, that makes some sense. If one has DEEP pockets carry a very nice beautiful bag into a wet enviorment to keep stuff dry. When you get home hand that high dollar bag to some flunky to clean and rub down with oils to keep it nice.
I am afraid I will use a disposable plastic bag for that. I do appreciate that bag and the quality of stuff they make. Like I admire the new 911, I don't have one because I am too cheap. |
Makes for a great piece of luggage in any environ...prolly last several lifetimes.
|
I have one of their cases on my original iPad... It has been great and has a wonderful patina to it now.
I too covet a Waterbag! |
Nice, but $700? Not for me.

"They'll Fight Over It when You're Dead" Great line. :)
. Nice products - I can smell them through the ether. I had to click off quickly; I'm a fool for high quality stuff - I can't let myself pay high dollars for this stuff, however. |
i dont know those bags, i dont need one of those bags..but.
that is a GREAT website. great writing and story telling. GREAT!! weird that i ran around some of the same parts of the earth as he did. apparently, his wife is from my home town. |
This is a company that I WILL purchase from.
I actually bonded with them based on their site, and love blue. I work for Dell. I have 100000000 damn laptop bags. I just cannot justify it.....now. The best products and a man connected to his dog. I cannot wait. |
Doesn't that water bag have a seam going around the bottom 1/4 of it? Very nice looking bag though.
|
This is the one I want... A satchel for my Rangfinder cameras.
You could easily pay double the amount for a bag from England or Europe. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1351206945.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1351207005.jpg |
I have several of their products. Great quality, but the bags are HEAVY. My overnight bag is like 8 pounds empty. You pay for quality in more than one way...

He had me at LandCruiser......
