Seat in a 02 Acura RSX
My son started a year stint in Americorps (Denver campus) last month. He left an 02 Acrura RSX in my driveway. I thought I'd take care of a few things while he's away either for his return or to sell.
One of the things that bothers me the most is that the driver's seat bolster has basically disintigrated. The seats are otherwise in good condition. An OEM replacement cover is VERY pricey: $750 for the bottom and over $800 for the back. Also, I believe the seat has a built-in air bag in the seat back so I don't want to screw with anything that will disable the system. Ideas?

Cloth or leather?
You can buy used RSX seats on car-part.com in the Chicago area for under $100 Or look for the perfect seat nationally and just have it shipped

u can get it reupholstered for a few hundred if you remove the seat. be sure to pull battery lead and unplug the side airbags.
the oem seat, only the butt and back area are leather. the bolsters are vinyl. you can ask around on clubrsx.com see if anyone in southern il has one for sale in good condition. |
