Jim, glad you like "Save Me"..... I've heard the new album, and I think you'll approve. IMHO the new album stays in their safe-zone but highlights some of their individual musical talents and everything is "tighter". Evolutionary, but better.

BTW, Cody made that lyric video by himself and he gets a lot of ribbing for it. Hinder does a lot in-house and they're smart businessmen (esp Cody).

Here's the Longreef video you suggested. Worth posting here

Trent Reznor's (Nine Inch Nails) wife Mariqueen Maandig fronts the band How to Destroy Angels.....it's a project with Rob Sheridan and Atticus Ross

Here's their new single "Keep It Together"

Video released this morning. I wish they'd just focus on NIN

Love Surrender the Fall

Jared Cole is a Facebook friend, they just got done touring a couple months opening for friends My Darkest Days. They're out of Memphis TN. I dig 'em. Haven't seen them play live yet though!

Nine Inch Nails "Capital G"

Still fitting:

I pushed the button and elected him to office and a
He pushed the button and he dropped the bomb
You pushed the button and could watch it on the television
Those motherf**kers didn't last too long

I'm sick of hearing about the "have's" and "have not's"
Have some personal accountability
The biggest problem with the way that we've been doing things is
The more we let you have the less that I'll be keeping for me

Well I used to stand for something
Now I'm on my hands and knees
Trading in my god for this one
And he signs his name with a capital G

Don't give a schit about the temperature in Guatemala
Don't really see what all the fuss is about
Ain't gonna worry about no future generations and a
And I'm sure somebody's gonna figure it out

Don't try to tell me that some power can corrupt a person
You haven't had enough to know what its like
You're only angry 'cause you wish you were in my position
Now nod your head because you know that I'm right... alright!

Well I used to stand for something
But forgot what that could be
There's a lot of me inside you
Maybe you're afraid to see

Well I used to stand for something
Now I'm on my hands and knees
Trading in my god for this one
And he signs his name with a capital G

Modern & heavy. But maybe a bit too modern & too heavy? Warning: No wailing guitars inside. Those are so yesterday. Turn it up loud. NSFW

If I turn it up too loud I think I might shred my speaker cones. I don't mind the dubstep "scary noises"

My friend Dylan Wood has figured out how to fuse the two genres and he gets paid $$$ from his You Tube hits. He was the drummer for Emphatic out of Omaha, NE (more on them) and makes more from YouTube than he does as a touring drummer.

I've got another friend, Jon Wilkes, former drummer for Red Jumpsuit Apparatus out of Jacksonville, FL that does DJ vs Drummer events at nightclubs and rolls in dough.

Here's Dylan Wood Skrillex "Equinox" (1,182,000 YouTube views)

No but thanks for sharing! That is an outstanding live performance, love the vocals & guitars. I'll be looking for some more KYNG. Thanks for starting this thread kaisen, I don't listen to music radio, but need some new music. I tend to find something I like & wear it out.

Dylan Wood's band.....

Emphatic "Bounce"

They just went through a huge line-up change, so friends of mine will be in both bands in the split

My friends Red Jumpsuit Apparatus "Face Down" (18,125,000 YouTube + Vevo views)

I mentioned the drummer Jon Wilkes, so I thought I'd tie it together. This is one of their bigger hits. They were staples of the Van's Warped Tours a few years ago. Very nice guys out of Jacksonville, FL (BVD's hood!)

Maybe mainstream for some but it's got a good looking girl and a heavy bass and drum line

Metric reminds my of the heavier alternative "college radio" type stuff that evolved out of grunge rock. And that's cool! I like it.

I think it's great to include those types of tunes here

Throw the Fight "That's So Hollywood"

These guys are local, from Minneapolis. They're all friends of mine. They're touring with Nonpoint (more later) and New Medicine (more later). A little more anthemic skate-punk sound on this track, but they have musical range. They opened for Chevelle (more later) a month ago....great show.

Lots of friends in this video, it was shot in downtown MPLS
