BMW Films w/ Clive Owen from a few years back

I was wiping an old hard drive tonight and found some videos of the BMW web movies produced a few years ago.

These were made by BMW as 'extended commercials' and featured Clive Owen as 'The Driver' along with noteable actors and guest directors.

I remember at the time that BMW did a season 1 and 2, but then the site was erased at the end of the campaign.

Anyway - here's a link to one of them, there should be a total of 5 that I managed to save from the drive.

Cool flicks, I think they're all on YouTube. My favorite was the one with Madonna and the E39 M5.

Funny you mention the one with Madonna - It's one I didn't have, but remember seeing.
I think Guy Ritchie directed it if memory serves correct.

It's just astonishing how untalented Madonna is as an actor. You could literally pick any person off the street and they would be better. You'd have to do a reverse "star search" to find someone in the country who sucks as bad.

The second season BMW insisted all of the eps feature the 1st generation Z4, which was lame, and I say that as someone that's owned two Z4s. I don't know why they tried to push one model so hard...

That's odd - I wonder if that was the beginning of the end for the series. I can't see the directors being happy about being restriced to telling their concept stories using only the Z4.

Watching "The Star" reminds one of how much fun a manual transmission car can be. Too bad BMW and Porsche are slowly doing away with them...
