Call me a beer snob (you won't be the first) but I only drink out of a beer bottle if I'm camping or tailgating, otherwise I pull a glass out of the freezer.
Modelo and Dos don't need lime IMHO... Salt is for shot of tequila... I find it slightly amusing that Americans turn their nose up at "putting fruit in our beer" when Europeans were doing it long before this country was founded. |

Asking what beer needs a twist of lime (or any fruit, for that matter) is like asking which steak A1 steak sauce goes best with...

You could hardly tell it was anything more than a squeeze of citrus in a beer. Lime is good in a beer for some reason when it is hot out, I never did get scurvy when I lived in Texas |

How about "Loaded Coronas?"
Pop open a Corona, take a drink, and then dump a shot of Limon Absolut in there. Thumb, invert, revert, drink. I thought I had seen a lot of trashy stuff but that was a new one for me. I finished it, though! |
No lime for my beer taste.
Anyhow, the story I understand of how the lime with Corona started was just a bet between two bartenders about creating a new trend. Marketing by Corona on the idea by seperating themselves from the others. |
