Got one Hell of a raise this weekend

My daughter and her 6 year old son moved out. She purchased a home several miles away. I would think my Elect. bill, water bill and food bill will go way down.
And on top of that, more sex at home, I hope.

I'll miss the little guy.

That's a heck of a deer to take with a Red Ryder. I grew up with one but never took anything bigger than a pigeon.

You will soon grow to miss their company. At least they do not live far away...

The sex? Hope its not "hallway sex!"

I'll be taking a commensurate pay cut soon when my folks move in with me because they won't be able to get back into their house in NJ for months. I think my solar panels will be online by then, so it might not be so bad. But when they have visited in the past, always for less than two weeks, it seems our water, gas and electric bills have been insane.

The food bill always klled me. My electric bill is always high.

for A/C?

might be time to look at ventilation of the roof - you can tie it down for the next storm too

I know how you feel. My older (21) son went to Americorp last month. As one quarter of the family, it seems he used easily a third of a share of everything. I'm reaping a windfall: water down by about 50%, electricity (hot water I assume) down a third, food down a third. I'm also saving on insurance. I didn't realize just how much that boy cost...and I miss him dearly.

I have an electric home, water heater, A/C, oven. Two story home, hot air goes up, the upstairs a/c is always on. Now that she's gone, that a/s will not be used.

My raise is coming at the end of the year. My daughter's boyfriend is currently living with us and consuming quite a bit while also failing 3 out of 4 college courses that my wife was able to get him enrolled in at the local community college at his request. Looking forward to the extra room, hot water, privacy, and driveway space.
