someone off topic - NE1 know that ad w/the 911 and Fender guitars?

I once saw a black and white ad with a 911 (or 912?) with a Fender guitar and amp strapped on a rack over the rear decklid. Anyone ever seen this, and might have a link to the picture? I'd just like to get a copy of the picture.

Thanks

Mark.

You've just given me a great idea for a reason to put my luggage rack back on the 356. And I happen to have a sweet Fender Strat and a Fender HRD. Or would it look better in tweed?

lol. I think you'd better pick up a Tweed Deluxe - it will make it look more authentic

Thanks. THAT'S IT!!!
I can't remember where I saw it, and may have gotten the model wrong, but what a cool way to combine two crazy obsessions!

Yeesh....my memory is pretty bad. Looks like a Fender Mustang (Jaguar? JazzMaster?) and there's no amp there. But that's the one, though. Thanks. Kind of like getting a song stuck in your head

Mark.

They did a few others too!

Fender ArteHouse - Posters and Framed Art Prints Available

A Fender is the Porsche of guitars - tough as nails , Buddy Guy once had one fall off the roof of a car he was driving , but picked it off the road and it was right to go.

The white one is a Jazzmaster. Here I am playing mine.

Looks like a great way to take the acoustic guitar apart! Heat from the deck lid ought to warm the hide glue up nicely.

Cool picture though.

That's the crazy thing about that picture. That's about the worse thing you can do with a guitar, especially an acoustic. Heat from the sun AND a hot, air-cooled engine. But it's a cool picture. Makes me wish I had some sort of rack for my Carrera. (though my Strat is NOT going on there!)

Stay tuned I'm inspired to mount the old luggage rack tomorrow and take some shots. I'll throw a Les Paul in there too.

So it looks like this particular picture isn't offered on Fender's website. Dang!

Trying a simple little old 1x12 Fender cab tomorrow. I forgot how little the luggage carrier is. It had been sitting on a shelf for 20 years.
