Dear John , Webshots has been acquired from American Greetings and the original founders are introducing a new service called Smile by Webshots. I always liked Webshots. Let's hope that never happens to Youtube...

Was free for low volume usage, annual charge for huge volume.
I have used it for over 10 years. These are my stats for public viewable folders on Webshots overall Photos 6381 views 806642 downloads 8147 The whole site contains 692 million photos !! Which will not be available after December 1 2012 when it is closed down. They have had a management buy out after the company that bought Webshots 5 years ago decided it was "not part of their core business". The new Smiles service does not make photos available to the general public - only to people you say can see them.
