YOU GUYS ARE INSANE! But a nice and fuzzy kind of insane. ;)
I can't believe you guys. Just when I think you guys have gone over the top, you guys surprise me again. Thank you. That's all I can say. :) |
Sorry, I have not been reading as many posts lately, have you started the new job yet?
|
Today was my first day. :) Yay! And I loved it!
|
Glad it worked out. Long story short, I was remembering when I was let go from a job. It ended up being the best thing that could have happened. I wish you the same success.
|
Awesome!! I am glad you had a great day.
|
Congratulations!

I saved this gift for a rainy day. Today was the day... Golf cancelled (I take the boys to the driving range every Saturday) because of the rain. We put this baby together and the boys LOVED it! My youngest stood inside and I heard him say,"Mommy, I love Santa so much. He brought us all these fun toys!" Should I tell him he should really be saying he loves Pelican? Mommy does. :) |
Very cool!
|
Tweeze, have you heard from Joe? I haven't noticed any posts by him lately. That's certainly cooler than the stuff I made out of cardboard boxes when I was a kid. Of course when you're a kid, imagination goes a long way.

Tweeze - Cool Shuttle!
Marv, I see him post on Facebook all the time. |

Joe A is not dead nor has he been kidnapped by a tribe of amazon women, so please do not pay the ransom! :) Work has been very busy and truthfully I have been trying to stay away from OT, Facebook and other internet outlets. Working on the house, 911, airplane and just got a new project, a Ural motorcycle with sidecar and all are taking my time! :) Thanks for asking though... :) Joe A |
New or Old Ural? From what I've seen and heard, they're a project as soon as they leave the factory......I still want one though!
Tweeze, glad they enjoyed the rocket ship! |
HH,
Well, I found a deal I could not refuse. Its a 2004 Ural Tourist thats in pretty good condition. The owner let someone who did not know how to ride a sidecar take it for a spin and they went off of the road and through a ditch, bending one of the fork tubes in the process. It had 2000 miles since new at that time and I know the local dealer and he sold it new, and maintained it until the incident. Looks like brand new (it should with 2000 miles on it), its black and black with red pinstriping. It then sat in a friends hangar for 8 years and he finally was moving last week and had to do something with it. I offered him less than $2000 (quite a bit less) and he took it. We had it running on one cylinder in an hour and the next day I got the other carb cleaned out and it now runs like a champ. The fork tubes are a breeze to change and after that will align the entire rig, change all the fluids and then take it for a real spin! Wanted a sidecar for 40 years! :) Joe A |
Glad to hear you are busy having fun. It would be a real pleasure to have a sidecar. Bet if there was a tribe of amazon women after you, you wouldn't run too fast. It's just kind of sad to think of all the people who used to be here & aren't anymore. Glad you & some of the other "old timers" are still around.
