corrected *for* that

People that don't even own a Porsche, ranting politics and religion on a Porsche forum. Maybe they co-owned a 924 years ago and that makes it ok to bring a different mind set.
If you are active in a passion like driving a Porsche, fine. Otherwise go somewhere else.

Correction; I suspected that someone would call me out on a mistake I didn't realize I made.

My #1 gripe are people with a holier than thou attitude who put down others with whom they disagree. (Maybe that is a put down to those who put down...) In my opinion, this board is a 'community' where we support, help, laugh and appreciate the mark. Put downs and arrogance have no part in it especially when people do it to make themselves feel good about how much better/more knowledgeable, etc they are. We all were ignorant slobs at one point and wanted to learn. Now some are more educated slobs and have no problem with that.

Sure wish I was reading this one in pretty green letters.

Bob, any examples you wish to share? Just curious.

I have quickly learned that being overly subjective is not a good thing in this forum. If I was sitting in a room with a bunch of you, I am sure that I would have had at least 20 cushions thrown at me for some comments that I have made in the past. eg. You should get a manual transmission. Better for resale, more fun. There is more logic in this forum than PARF. Parf defeats me completely. In addition there are non P car owners on this forum which is fine by me. What about wannabe P car owners? They should know what they are going to be faced with in addition to flying cushions!

Totally. I read about others adventures and misadventures and learn. I stay on here so I don't forget to keep my eye on the prize. You guys get me so egged on by your pictures and stories of trips and rides you have taken. Good stuff. And besides, one of these days I plan to cash in on the friendships I have made by making all of you help me with my own project! ;)

People who list every car they've ever owned at the bottom of their posts.

This. and anyone who thinks the term "MODS" actually mean "improvement"

Face it- there are a lot of dummies out there ruining perfectly good cars with a combination of shtty aftermarket hoodoo voodoo parts and just bad ideas.

A lot (virtually all of) euro / jap car forums are like this

Using hung instead of hanged when refering to executions, even the Associated Press got it wrong in todays news of an execution in Mumbai. Hung is something else again.

"Use the search function". Is it really that much trouble to answer someones question?? Especially if you know the answer?.

My biggest is the "know-it -all, self proclaimed expert on all that is automotive".
He will counter everyones opinion because only he knows whats best.

Yup...that one sent me off. A guy pulled that on me and I became unglued and spent 2 weeks on the island.

Some epic insults.

...

the real problem is that you then get many, many threads with fragmentary information in each one - it clutters the forum and makes it hard to find info for those who are not so lazy as to avoid searching
