Cannonball Run. This movie ignited my love for the sports car. The sound of the wailing Lamborghini V12 was just mesmerizing to my grade school brain.

Smokey and the Bandit ranks pretty high on the list too.

Speedy:)

Animal House.....my friends and I were in college during it's release and it inspired us to step up our game:)

The Godfather one and two were hard to beat for great entertainment. Casablanca, I could watch over and over, and recently Bridesmaids was wicked funny!

Risky Business (the first movie I drove to) or possibly Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Child of the '80's here.

Patton.

I have never seen Blade Runner...that will change this weekend.

So many great movies in this thread...Three Days of the Condor is a favorite. I saw it in theater and after about the third plot twist, a guy stands up and says. "Does anyone know what the fuk is going on!?!"

Everyone laughed.

Apocalypse Now...watched alone late at night on v. early satellite when I was a teen...freaked me the F. right out. Big Lebowski rocks as does American Beauty.

A Christmas Carol - the b&w version with Alastair Sim as Scrooge - not of my 'generation' as I was a pre-schooler when it was released to theatres but one of the better tales told - I think. 'The Great Escape' is my favourite of my generation.

nynor 11-22-2012 08:52 AM

my favorite made during my generation: blade runner (the original)

my favorite about my generation: 'the other F word'
