Sent a package to Clarcksville, Tn from Mount Washington, Ky, well the good ole US postal no service (USPnS) has the package in warrendale, Pa!!! Complete opposite direction, I really done get it.

This happend to me once. The postal worker at my local post office mis-keyed the zip code. I think their system defaults to the bar code that's printed out at the time of mailing.

If you live in Mammoth Mtn, Ca. and mail a letter to Bishop, the next main town 45 mi away, the letter goes all the way to the sorting facility in Santa Clarita, 300 miles away. It then makes it's way back 250 mi to Bishop. Doesn't make sense.

Maybe it doesn't make sense to us but I'm sure there are logical reasons for this
Don't airplanes do the same thing when a layover is in the wrong direction from where you are going?
